This comfortable Queen Murphy Bed can be used every night and folds up and down smoothly. The shelving units offer a combination of open and closed storage to meet all your needs. The bed features flexible slats that follow the curves of the body and absorb pressure for optimal comfort.
You can choose your own mattress, as the bed accommodates most standard Queen mattresses and supports up to 1,000 lb. When fully extended, the bed projects 92 in. from the wall. Allow 30 to 36 in. of clearance around the open bed. The unit must be secured to the wall, and a minimum ceiling height of 91.1 in. is required. The dual-mount Murphy bed mechanism attaches to both the floor and wall for easier assembly and maximum stability and durability.
To prevent the risk of injury, the Murphy bed must be installed to the wall structure and floor by a professional or qualified person. Two people are required for assembly.
Installation requires attachment to wood studs or masonry, removal of the baseboard, and drilling into the floor (if the unit needs to be removed, the holes can be concealed with baseboards at least 0.5 in. thick). All necessary hardware is included.
